How would you describe yourself in a couple sentences? I would consider myself a very level, open and honest individual. I am quite eccentric. On the 3 cares of permaculture, she says, “To me, they are all intertwined, I see them all as one living, breathing organism, so I don’t feel i am able to prioritize one over another.” I deeply appreciate Mark Kurlansky’s unique perspective on food history and deep passion for sustainable food production in the modern world.

How would you describe yourself in a couple sentences? A lover of life and the intelligence of the wild. Philosophically,I believe they are representative of a continuum, dependent on one another. In daily life and in regards to earth care I work continuously as a permaculture designer, creating and implementing regenerative agricultural systems. People care- I teach permaculture through workshops and as an instructor through OSU as well as teaching folks how to grow medicinal and gourmet fungi. Fair share/ future care- I teach and provide community food through abundance and our personal food forest project as well as with my partner, running our perennial and wild nursery to continue the plant diversity for future generations.

UPDATE (stepped back in October 2023) How would you describe yourself in a couple sentences?
I can see energy dynamics and patterns in others and experience people uniquely. Wisdom comes from seeing others, a system, or a concept in a new way.Regarding collective purpose, I’m here to solve problems and show others how to use energy more efficiently. I can thrive outside of manual labor and in roles where I’m directing work instead of executing every detail.

For this year’s fall of 2023 there are nine board positions. Presently only one of them is filled. Therefore eight positions were open and voted in. In subsequent years there will always be three positions open, unless someone leaves or resigns. In that case the remainder of their term will be open as well. For this year, 2023:

  • There are 3 Three year terms
  • There are 3 Two year terms
  • There are 2 One year terms

A succession plan can be implemented to facilitate the assigning of the three, two and one year terms, by the board at the first new meeting of the board. Or the three persons with the highest votes could fill the three year terms, followed by the next three which will fill the two year terms. The persons next in line could have one year terms and, of course, can be voted in for a three year term following year.

For the purpose of this chart, the Director numbers are only place holders and have no hierarchical implications. Officers are determined by the new board of directors at the conclusion of each election cycle. The coloring is only there to help with seeing the pattern and has no other meaning.
