Candidate Guidelines

Please follow these steps (in order!) if you’d like to join the Northwest Permaculture Convergence Board of Directors

Thank you for your interest in serving the Permaculture Movement in the NW!

Please read, if you have not yet, our Letter to Candidates and Nominees

Helpful NWPCC Organizational Resources you may want to review:

  • Roles – will help you write your letter of intent
  • Bylaws & Board Manual (in progress)
  • Send us your letter of intent by following the steps below:

On the Roles of Leader, Supporter and Ally:

  • Leaders are those who take initiative to carry forward ideas they think are important and benefit the whole, while encouraging others to do the same. Leaders teach others what they learn and are quick to pass (or share) the baton when someone else wants it and shares the same heart.
  • Supporters don’t have the clarity of vision to lead the charge, but want to make the efforts of those they follow (the leaders) more fluid and impactful. So they offer grounding and assistance.
  • Allies are those who walk alongside, maybe a fellow leader or supporter, but the main-theme of their presence is solidarity and compassionate witness
