Dear NW Permaculture Community,

We invite you to NW Permaculture Community Visioning Planning Zooms

 

  • How can this organization serve you. 
  • What are its strengths. 
  • How has it touched your life or community. 
  • What is its future mission and goals. 
  • What kind of initiatives would you like to see. 
 
We are picking up the ball for a new vision for the NWPC in 2025.This will likely be an ongoing series of visioning process planning meetings leading up to a May gathering Vision Process.  They are on Tuesday 6pm approximately every other week but still forming. Check the Calendar.  
 
If you want to share this with others who may be interested in being involved, feel free to spread the work and share this invitation.

 Next Steps are still emerging

Our Board has gotten smaller (3 people) and inactive. Julie is about to retire at end of her 3 year term in Feb 2025. We need your help. Possible actions you can take are (feel free to choose one+ of interest or contact us):

  1. Make sure you are subscribed to our Newsletter for updates. We are very responsive (especially until Feb). 
  2. Join us in the planning. Add a comment here for now. We hope to meet soon with Joe Brewer of the Design School of Regenerating Earth  to plan a Visioning Process he has offered to facilitate at the Global Earth Repair Convergence gathering in May 2025. 
  3. Zoom! Come to a NWPCC Board or Visioning or Gathering Planning meeting on the calendar. (let us know which you plan to attend so we can schedule time to hear from you!) 
  4. Join a Communication Practice to build our capacity in challenging times. There is a Connection Circle Sundays starting Jan 26th 4:30-6pm PST (for 8 weeks) and last chance is Jan 21st to join Julie in Restorative Circle facilitation training (6 weeks). There is a lot of harm to be healed and decolonizing yet to be done with Social Permaculture  just as is sadly still true of dominant narrative of human capitalist culture. We need more practice and a space-team-resource for healing conflict and trauma.
  5. Help us with updating this survey – this was co-created in 2022. Is this still relevant?
  6. After being an active ally you can apply to join the board or advisory committee.
  7. Join our NWPCC Telegram channel or Regenerate Cascadia’s Telegram (the later is more active).
