“True patriotism hates injustice in its own land more than anywhere else.” — Clarence Darrow
Peaceful protest doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people prepare.
Tuesday night’s Non-Violence and De-Escalation training was a powerful success. Five CCMCI members joined twenty fellow resisters from South Kitsap Indivisible to practice real-world scenarios, role-play conflict resolution, and learn how to protect both our message and our people.
As protest sizes increase this spring and summer, preparation is not optional — it is essential.
If we want our actions to remain peaceful, organized, and effective, we need trained Peacekeepers.
The arc of the moral universe does not bend on its own. It bends because people organize, resist, and refuse to comply with injustice — again and again, even when the path is hard.
WE STILL NEED YOU
We are building a safety/medic team of at least 10 trained Peacekeepers for upcoming events — including “Not My President” and NO KINGS III on March 28.
Peacekeepers work in pairs, monitoring the crowd and focusing solely on de-escalation. They have no other responsibilities. Their role is simple and vital: keep people safe and keep our message clear.
If you are — or know — active or retired nurses, firefighters, medical professionals, counselors, or anyone calm under pressure, please step forward.
