The Open House will start at 12:30 for a general introduction to the Center for Rural Livelihoods. The Future Fundamentals course will start at 2pm, for a more in-depth tour and presentation and June 9th will be on Forestry

Future Fundamentals Series is 4 modules over 6 months in an effort to provide technical assistance, skill building, ecological perspectives on the fundamental skills needed for an ecological economy.

The series culminates with a conference for land stewards interested in collaboration and cooperatives.

  • Part 4: Building Sunday, November 10th, 
  • Practitioner Gathering  Sunday, January 12th


Join Abel Kloster, CRL’s Restoration Forestry Program Manager, and Matthew Hall, our former forester from 1990-2008, for a tour of our ecological forestry project. CRL’s forest has been maintained for more than 40 years as a demonstration and research site for ecologically based forest management – articulating an alternative to methods currently applied in most of our region’s industrial forests.
