The FAQ Corner
with Molly from Sahale!
Howdy, folks!
Our resident elf, Molly from Sahale, is back to answer your questions about the 2026 Summer Gathering —
What’s In Our Way?
Forging Pathways to Regenerative Community
Dear Molly,
I’ve never been to a Summer Gathering before. What’s a typical day like?
Sincerely,
Curious
Dear Curio,
We want to make sure that every day you’re with us, you experience what the Gathering is all about: rich experiential learning within the safe cradle of warm community.
Each day you can expect a mix of large-group interactive learning sessions and small group conversation to integrate the large-group learning. In between, you’ll have the chance to share lighter, less structured activities, such as meditation, nature walks, art or yoga.
Meal times are a wonderful time to connect in conversation with old and new friends (or not, if that’s your preference). And it wouldn’t be our Summer Gathering without a healthy dose of play, like singing, drumming, splashing in the river or lolling in the hot tub!

Dear Molly,
What’s the difference between this event and the Human Relations Lab?
Sincerely,
Fond Memories
Dear Fondy,
Our Summer Gatherings continue the mission of the Human Relations Lab, which was the Goodenough Community’s signature summer event for several decades.
All year Community members looked forward to Lab, where they would gather for immersive learning in how to live as the best version of themselves, as individuals and as a community.
Durable friendships and community bonds were formed as participants learned and played, laughed and cried together.
We still believe that experiential learning within loving community is the most effective way to grow as individuals and community builders, and to develop the elusive but oh-so-important skills of relationship.
This year we’ll be diving into an issue that plagues so many individuals, communities, even our nation: how can we build trust and connection with people who are very different from us, so we can create powerfully regenerative communities?
Fasten your seatbelt, because we’re going to have a stellar guide for the journey: meet Roberto Rodriguez. Expect both connection-building facilitation and transformational learning!
Dear Molly,
I have dietary restrictions — can you accommodate me at this event?
Yours truly,
Grumbly Belly
Hey, Grumbly, you’re in luck!
We’re bringing on a capable, experienced chef whose forte is providing healthy, natural meals that accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free guests.
You’ll be able to fully join the community for our delicious and delightful indoor/outdoor dining experience.
Dear Molly,
I’d love to attend, but I just don’t have that much money in my bank account. What can I do?
Best regards,
Scraping Bottom
Glad you asked, Scrapes. This is one of the questions we get most often.
Our event design team has worked long and hard to find ways for all to participate in this exciting event.
The event’s fee structure is tiered , so you can choose an investment that is meaningful, but still affordable for you.
Partial scholarships are also available: you can apply here.
Got another question? Don’t be shy — we love hearing from you.
