Dear permaculture friends, colleagues, and the broader worldwide movement.
Permaculture is one of the most important movements in the world. We know the solutions to at least most of the world’s woes. We know how to help ecosystems heal and produce abundant, nutrient-dense food and how humans can live sustainably on the planet. Largely we have been sidelined by the media.
There have been many climate conferences in the world, but few of them have been organized by permaculturists and feature permaculture. The Global Earth Repair Convergence highlights permaculture and many related disciplines. Here is a list of permaculturists who are presenters

On May 8, 9 and 10 we are going to feature over 100 presentations and panels in person and another 100 online. If you cannot attend in person (Olympic Peninsula of Washington State), you can still attend online and have access to an incredible array of speakers and content for only $20 a day.

Hey, Skeeter – your presence gives me hope for the NWPCC. I had to leave the board after the last convergence we both attended, maybe 2016? My daughter had a psychotic break due to an abusive husband that summer, so I suddenly became a 24/7 psych nurse and full-time child care grandma. ShaeLee was just coming on to the board that year, along with Pat Rasmussen, so I thought I was leaving the NWPCC in good hands.
Years later, after my daughter’s divorce and custody issues and my triple cardiac bypass, I got back on the board when ShaeLee left. The feel-good convergence that year was the opposite of your skills-based convergences, so I felt there was a clear need for change. When stress on that board became too much (more later), I had to leave to protect my heart and my family. Bill Aal tried to help us through it, but we could not cooperate. The board didn’t even pay him for weeks of work, so I did what I could. Since stress was the issue, I’ve stayed away since then.
Super happy to attend online this week! Rosemary Morrow taught me in France in 2011, and I teach from her books. It will be great to see and hear her. I’m looking forward to your presence, of course, and the other speakers.
