Oregon’s Board of Forestry approved a new management plan for 620,000 acres of state forests, with increased conservation goals and reduced clear-cutting. The plan is expected to take effect after June 30, 2027, but its future depends on federal permits and shifting national policies around endangered species protections.

Hosted by Regenerate Whatcom and the VivaCulture Institute.

Applications are open for Back from the Land, an interdisciplinary fellowship at the Center for Rural Livelihoods that integrates land stewardship, political education, and community organizing. Participants choose between a municipality-focused track centered on Cottage Grove, Oregon, or a university-focused track preparing for campus-based social movements.
